Hey folks, what are we replacing old SCSI drives with these days? Is there a cheap, generic option for dropping a CF or SD card into? A search turned up a lot of things that look currently unavailable or discontinued.

I really need to find a solution here, because I've been through my entire SCSI drive collection and my only working options are a 9.1GB Quantum that is so loud that it's unpleasant to be in the same room as, or a nice and quiet 512MB drive that I can't fit anything fun onto.

Or I could netboot the whole thing, I guess. Or run /usr over NFS. Or ... yeah there are options. I'm just having a bit of a rant.

@mike I use a SCSI2SD V5.1 with a synth (Roland W-30), it's pretty good, fast enough for me, I would be surprised if they were discontinued but maybe they're hard to get because of the chip shortage.

@mike hmm I got it from inertialcomputing.com/ but clicking on a few options in their store it looks like they're sold out of everything I looked at. Could be worth pinging them for info on what stock they have, if you're interested, I found them very helpful.
