This is mildly interesting - STM did a portable IBM PC compatible system, in what looks like the same case as the Pied Piper Communicator, with a few modifications.

Also interesting I guess is that it's one of the extremely few systems I've heard of that used an 80186 CPU.

@mike This has led me to some Googling, and I don't know why Australia wrongfully claims credit for inventing Wifi when we can apparently claim invention of the first laptop PC en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dulmont_

@mike@social.chinwag.org The RM Nimbus is the only 80186 machine I've ever knowingly met. Very big in the UK educational sector, probably completely unheard of outside these isles
