There's an obvious problem with the emoji search on my phone, as one of these suggestions is completely inappropriate for the query.

Koalas are marsupials, not bears. Don't people know anything?

@stibbons well there's no result for "dropbear" and that some one is returned for "koala" so I think it's intentional. Someone's manually entered the word "bear" in a database somewhere.

@mike @stibbons In the United States, the word "koala" is almost always followed by the word "bear." It's just how we call them here.

It's an accident of history, I suppose; just as we call one of our most prominent birds a "robin", even though it's not a robin. It's actually a thrush.
