Working on a lot of Solaris machines today and I'm now remembering to type "ps -ef" instead of "ps aux" about 75% of the time. I expect to reach 80% by the end of the day.

@mike I had to deal with that when going from SunOS 4 to SunOS 5. I went straight back to the SunOS 4 ways when switching to GNU userland even though it supports the SunOS 5 convention.

(Yes, I know this is BSD vs SysV but I didn't really know about those things back then).

@freakazoid I remember around that era being highly embarrassed when I leaned the hard way that "killall" on SunOS was not what I was accustomed to. :ohdear:

@mike @freakazoid my other favourite is hostname -h which iirc on hpux sets the hostname to -h.
