Oh yay. TBQH, I kinda guessed this when I looked out the window this morning.

You might think something near us was on fire. It's not. We're hundreds of kilometres from anything burning. The Failwheel is 700m away from here according to the map.

@mike Yeah, there's not a lot of visibility out there.

@pelagikat there's a visible haze between me and the houses on the other side of the street. That's pretty fucked.

@GwenfarsGarden it is, and we're not even very close to any of the actual fires. It's going to be a lot worse in other places.

@mike I suspect there are going to be a big increase of people with respiratory problems. The knock on effects are sadly going to be countless.

@GwenfarsGarden I'm pretty robust and healthy in general, but I'm suddenly remembering what it was like before I quit smoking 10 years ago. If I'm noticing it, there must be people going through hell out there.
